Especially in the context of the people in my working place, I felt many times people like to show off and hence started to be very cruel to themselves. Why I say cruel to themselves? It is because they push themselves over the limit at times for MORE MONEY at the cost of their health, hobbies, and relationships.
I do not want to be fat, having a life without music and losing friends around me because of money. I have once heard that success is measured by the amount of money you have. However, success is not about achievements or victory and glory that we gained. Success is determined by quality of life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
