Back in action

Wow, I haven't been blogging for ages. Maybe I shall take this opportunity to update on what has been happening since the end of last semester.

As soon as exams ended in May, I went back to Penang, my hometown. Missed my family so much. For the first time since leaving for Singapore for studies, I took a plane back to Penang. The flight I booked departs from Senai Airport which is in Johor and the departure time is at 10am. I am aware that if I travel from NUS to Senai Airport that same morning I might not be able to reach the airport on time. So I decided to travel one day before and spend the night before the flight at the airport. It was the second time I spend the night at the airport. The first time was when I went bagpacking in Penang Island, I actually spent the night at Penang INternational Airport. I could not really sleep that whole night so guess what I did? I played counter strike! HAHA...

Basically in Penang, I spent most of my time with my family. I could say I went shopping at least 4 times a week. The prices of stuffs in Penang is so much cheaper, everywhere I go I would unconsciously convert Malaysian Ringgit to SIngapore Dollar and feel it's so damn cheap. I buy and buy and buy, I guess it's the only period where I get to shop like a shopaholic. When I reside in SIngapore I basically do not shop. THe things in SINgpaore is so expensive after converting to RM. I really enjoyed bringing my sister and my mother out. Brought my sister to some children arcade and playground center in shopping malls.

I also took this opportunity when I am back in Penang to catch up with some of my close friends. Me and my form 6 classmates went for steamboat and I also had a karaoke session with my friends. The karaoke session only cost RM5.50 for 3 hours and you get one drink free too. The place is well decorated and sound system is good. On the other hand, when I went for karaoke session in Singapore, the cheapest I've been to is S$10 for 4 hours and free flow of drinks, not to mention, the sound system sucks.

So when I was back home, the one thing which frustrates me a lot is the lousy connection by streamyx. It is super slow and I can't do many things. It takes ages to load a page up to a point I gave up on going online. Just wanna sshow you the condition of my workplace at home. :)

During one month period, I also had the chance to do some charity work. I volunteered to collect and send cakes and foodstuffs to the orphanage, old folks home, and home for the mentally challenged. My whole car was filled with cakes, thanks to the owner of Mapleleaf cake shop. The owner actually donated all those cakes to the less fortunate. So cool.

Although my school holiday is 3 months but I have only one month break as I have commitments back in Singapore. When I left home, I feel so sad. Still feeling homesick. How could this happen to me?

My handsome bro and beautiful sister. :)

Right now I am having a flu, and I am quarantined in one of the rooms which is located at one corner of my hall. So lonely. I guess that is the reason why I have time to blog. LOL. I was so busy for the past few months as I was involve in the orientation committee. This sickness kinda buy me some time for myself at last.

NUS Rag Day falls on this Saturday and I am suppose to be in charge of leading cheer. I pray that I could be miraculously healed by today and I can start preparing for the cheer briefing session and be able to be there during the Rag Day event. I seriously do not want to miss it. That's all for now. Signing off.

p.s. Drink more water and don't fall sick. Take care
